Credit Suisse expects more growth in Asia this year and says its focus on entrepreneurs in the region is paying off.
Credit Suisse Asia Pacific CEO Helman Sitohang said in an interview with «CNBC,» he expects a robust performance from regional capital markets this year.
Speaking at the Swiss bank’s annual Asian investment conference in Hong Kong, Sitohang claimed his bank was now reaping the rewards of working with first and second-generation entrepreneurs in the region.
His reasoning behind strong regional capital markets this year came from expectations the Federal Reserve will embark on four hike interest rate hikes in 2018.
After moving onshore in Thailand in 2016, Switzerland’s second largest bank is due to open a wealth management unit in Manila, Philippines in the coming months.
