The floor in the Banquet Hall at Skyline Golf Course is getting a facelift.
According to Skyline Manager, Mike Millis, “We have a very busy summer coming up. We have three weddings and a dozen wedding receptions in addition to all of our regular banquets and golf events on the schedule. It was time to upgrade the look of our Banquet Hall. The old floor has been down for over twenty-five years and it was looking a bit shabby. Fortunately, Connie Capaul of Capaul’s Floorcovering was able to squeeze us into their schedule for this week.”
The floor covering project is sponsored by Skyline Friends. Skyline Friends is a group of individuals, groups and businesses who support the Skyline clubhouse. They have contributed almost $60,000 for clubhouse projects since their inception in 2007.
A special “Celebrity Chef’s Dinner” is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, to help pay for the floor. The dinner includes a spectacular buffet menu, a free wine tasting and music by “Trevase” – Travis Oppelt. “Celebrity Chefs” for the dinner are Manager Mike Millis and Skyline Friends President, Buz Hoefer.
“A number of the staff of Skyline are volunteering their time, several people have made contributions and we have a anonymous match of up to $1000 for the profits from the dinner,” said Hoefer. “This is going to be quite a party celebrating the new look in the Banquet Hall and we’ll be well on the way of paying for the new floor.”
Social hour starts at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6. For more information or for reservations, call Skyline at 715-284-2613.
