Hutson is the No. 25 recruit out of Missouri and the No. 125 wide receiver in the country, according to 247Sports.
He has attracted interest from Bowling Green, Iowa State, Kansas State and Minnesota, among others, but chose the Hawkeyes after they provided the only scholarship offer.
The wide receiver also unofficially visited the program on April 20.
Hutson, at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, played his high school football at Raytown Senior High School.
