IN PHOTOS: Despite controversies, fans flock ComicCon Asia 2018

It may have had the roughest of starts, plagued by headlining guests cancelling their scheduled appearances, but that didn’t stop Filipinos from dressing up as their favorite superhero, anime and videogame characters as they flocked the inaugural ComicCon Asia 2018.

Dedicated fans descended on the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on Saturday, decked out in their best cosplay.

Highly creative enthusiasts livened up the event, which suffered a hiccup in their ticketing system early on, resulting in many being stuck for hours in line just to get in.

It was headlined by Dacre Montgomery of “Stranger Things,” “Teen Wolf” star Holland Roden, and Walter Jones, the original Black Ranger from the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.”

Completing the lineup of celebrity draws were “Overwatch” voice actors Feodor Chin (Zenyatta), Anjali Bhimani (Symmetra), Carolina Ravassa (Sombra), and Jen Cohn (Pharah).
