She has since taken a back seat in the business after agreeing a global TV licensing deal for the brand, which has been renamed Pretty Clever Pants.
Carol explained: “Now the business doesn’t need me any more, I didn’t want to sit and do nothing. I don’t want to go back into presenting.
“I want to keep going forward. For me, becoming a humanist celebrant is not necessarily about a big money-making adventure.
“It is about a life experience. In terms of conducting funerals, you are visiting people on the worst day of their lives and trying to make it better.
“For some people, my celebrity will be a comforting thing, just to have a familiar face that they know there with them. For others, it will be a distraction.
