“So for Saturday more of a breeze here outbreaks of rain, here and there, I think mainly for the north-west of Scotland, perhaps the north-west of Northern Ireland, but elsewhere there will be a lot of dry weather.
“Patchy cloud but good sunny spells around, it really will feel much warmer. Top temperature, high teen celsius for most of us but we could be looking at highs of 20C to 22C on Saturday.
“Maybe it could be even a little bit warmer than that on Sunday, so it is looking good for the Bank Holiday weekend, certainly warming up.”
Some forecasters say the warm spell will last well into the middle of May.
